Wicklewood Hall specializes in the very best English Labs. We pride ourselves on looking for good conformation, temperament, soundness of body, hunting ability, excellent noses, low hip scores and clear eyes. All of our Labs also have soft mouths.

I go to England three to four times every year to train dogs and attend the field trials. We do not use "e" collars to train our dogs. No one from the States goes to England like I do to train dogs. While I'm at the field trials, I look for great dogs to use in my kennels. If the Labs do not conform to my expectations, I sell them as house pets.

I am a geneticist with over 25 years of experience. I've spoken on animal genetics in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Poland, and the Netherlands. I look at these labs for the best in genetics. None of my Labs have been sick at any time. We practice good husbandry in every way. We feed our dogs the very best food using no fillers. The pups also get great food plus goats' milk, vitamins, minerals, etc.

Clean kennels are a top priority and all of our kennels are washed twice a day. They are kept cool in the Summer and partially enclosed during the Winter. Fresh water is available continually. The labs are taken out twice a day to run and train. These Labs do not mess up their kennels. We have been working with our dogs for seeing-eye and drug and bomb sniffing work. Recently, we have even heard of Labs being trained to detect cancer in humans by smelling their mouths. What next for these wonder dogs?

Presently we have several dogs that we train and trial in England. On occasion, we have partly trained and fully trained dogs available for sale. Since we don't have the birds to work with here in the U.S. that are available in England, we raise our own birds to train with.

If you're looking for a true English Lab and not an Irish, you will be pleasantly surprised at how our labs work. We guarantee our pups for hips and eyes in writing for 26 weeks. Our pups take to the water and retrieve as early as 8 weeks. We do not remove dew claws form our pups. All the pups will have their six and eight week's shots when delivered. We also have a stud service available, so if you buy a female from us, you will have the best, non-related males to choose from.

On occasion, we also offer training seminars.

These dogs make great cadaver and bomb sniffing dogs.

Keep in touch. All the best... William Kechkaylo
